FAQ’s

What issues can counselling help with?
I support adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship problems, overwhelm, life transitions, and ADHD-related challenges. If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, feel free to get in touch and we can discuss your needs.
What is person-centred counselling?
Person-centred counselling is a talking therapy that focuses entirely on you. Instead of giving advice or telling you what to do, I provide a safe and non-judgemental space where you can explore your feelings openly. You set the pace and direction of the sessions.
How do I know if you’re the right counsellor for me?
I offer a free, no-obligation introductory call so we can talk about what you’re looking for and whether we feel like a good fit. Feeling comfortable with your counsellor is one of the most important parts of therapy.
How long are counselling sessions?
Sessions last 50 minutes, giving you focused time to explore what’s going on in your life.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different. Some people benefit from short-term counselling, while others prefer longer-term support. We’ll review things as we go so you get the right level of support for your situation.
Do you offer counselling for ADHD?
Yes. I work with adults with ADHD (diagnosed or undiagnosed) who may be struggling with overwhelm, emotional intensity, organisation challenges, rejection sensitivity (RSD), and day-to-day pressures. Counselling can help you understand your patterns, build confidence and develop strategies that work for you.
Do you offer online counselling?
Yes, I offer secure online sessions as well as in-person appointments. This makes it easy to access counselling from home or wherever you feel most comfortable.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is kept confidential, except in rare circumstances where there is a risk of harm — which I will always discuss with you first wherever possible.
What happens in the first session?
Your first full session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to talk about what brings you to counselling. There’s no pressure and no expectations — it’s simply a starting point.
How do I book a session?
You can contact me by email or through the contact form to arrange your free introductory call. From there, we can organise regular weekly or fortnightly sessions.
How much do sessions cost?
Payment details and scheduling will be confirmed during your initial conversation.
What if I’m nervous about starting counselling?
It’s completely normal to feel nervous. Many people feel the same way. My approach is calm, friendly and approachable, and I will always go at a pace that feels right for you. You don’t need to have the “right” words — just come as you are.

Still Have Questions?
If there’s something you’re unsure about, please get in touch. I’m happy to answer any questions and help you decide whether counselling is right for you.
